White Glue, $ 3.99...Glue Gun, $5.99...

The look on your wife's face when you tell her you named your latest monstrosity after your dead mother, priceless.

Meet Barbara...

Actually, Barbara is named after the character in Beetlejuice. I plan to make a towering body for Barbara with long outstretched arms and position her in such a way that the kids will need to walk under her at Halloween. More to come...

Finally back to...

Creating. It feels good to get back into the paper mache mix again. It's been about three weeks since I have done anything creative or related to Halloween. I just started two new projects that I am very excited about. Once I have them to the stated beyond just paper mache balls I will post some pics. I also just completed a cauldron using another reindeer lawn ornament motor and a plastic bin. Here are some of the pics, Know I just need to pump some fog into the bottom.

Happy Holiday's!

So I Just returned from a vacation to Disneyland for the Christmas holiday. The haunted mansion was totally decked out in a Nightmare Before Christmas theme which was excellent.  Unfortunately, it rained every day, our plane was struck by lightning trying to get home so we were delayed by a day, and we spent a lot of time in the airport  but on the bright side the rain kept the lines down for the rides at the park. Yay!
Now I am totally jazzed to get back to working on Halloween projects. I plan to totally up the haunt as I have been disappointed with the last two haunts since taking it from the garage to the yard. I finally was able to get some time to work on the first prop idea for this year...

Sanity Not Required

I Love Dragon's

Unfortunately I have been swamped with work and school lately and have neglected posting
regularly to the blog.My daughter requested that I make a purple dragon, here is the pics of it's
construction.

Although it turned out just as I had wanted, the placement of the eyes is incorrect...Ahhhh Damn!

Oh Rats!

I made this prop over the summer. He was intended to be something else...
The teeth and fangs turned out fairly well...

It's a bit lopsided but still has some promise...

Still lookin' okay, hope is alive...

After adding the eyes it looks...just plain stupid

In case you are still wondering, the original intent was to make a lion. Kinda serpent looking now though...

And after adding the ears....ah crap! it's a rat

So I just went with it and finished off his body.Actually I really like him as a rat, and who ever heard of a Halloween lion anyway? Really!

Another Desk Dragon

This little guy sits on the shelf above my desk at work.
He had very humble beginnings...

Once I got his wings on, he started more like a dragon and less like an egg with legs.

He gets a good amount of attention... I like Him
